Rainy adventures in Vancouver

It isn’t a trip to Vancouver without some rainy days - in fact, it almost rained everyday we were there. We didn’t let that get us down, we still tried to go outdoors and to our favourite spots.

Just 30 minutes away from downtown is one of my go-to spots in Vancouver. In the summer, its a perfect spot to spontaneously go watch the sunset with the ferries passing by. All year round it’s also a popular spot for scuba diving. Luckily, it was empty when we go here, but probably because it was pouring rain that day. I picked the perfect day to test out my new waterproof Vessi sneakers!

We stayed here for less than half an hour, mostly because it was getting chilly with the rain. We took a stroll along the beach and I let the cold ocean wave wash over my feet. To my surprise, my socks were completely dry! Vessi’s waterproof sneakers definitely live up to their claim. Not only are they waterproof, they are actually very comfy and lightweight too. I wore them on my flight back to Toronto and needless to say, these are my new favourite travel sneakers. I probably won’t be wearing them in the snow since it might be too slippery, but if anyone has tried them in the snow, please let me know how they are!

Most importantly, from what I could find on their website, the shoes are vegan, and are also made with sustainability first in mind.

I’m excited to wear these for rainy days in the city and small trips in the spring.

Happy adventuring folks!

With love,

Sammie
